You shouldn't fly near the ground, you should actually always fly as high as possible. The question says you lose your flying powers for a minute, if you are flying high enough you get them back before you hit the ground.

Have a plan B. Parachute if you plan on flying high. If you just wanna hover, then no plan B is needed.
