the world was fine before electronics were created, the issue is what the world will look like when they stop working. if the button can magically solve everything maybe it will clean up all the garbage it leaves behind. a gamble i guess

power can still be created without electronics specifically. the loss of vehicles is the bigger tradeoff since even a sailboat is a vehicle.

As much as I love the upside, the downside would proabably lead to the end of the world. There are a lot of nuclear power plants out there in the world. So, in the end, I guess the upside would happen. It would just be brought about by a very, very severe decline in the population.
