Thats actually how time works, the future you have is based on the free will choices that our set out for us to deciede. Each action has an outcome that sets out many possible futures that can be determined by the choices later coming

That's literally how prophetic foresight works regardless. Seeing the future will change how you act toward it. Change the present to change the future
