They aren't mutually exclusive so there's only a 25% chance of death - half of the time you become immortal and so the chance of death becomes irrelevant.

Even if you became immortal after the earth was gone due to *SOmething crazy like the sun consuming the moon and imploding and making mars fly around damaging planets etc* and you would just fly there in space with nothing to do.

Where's the upside? You would live for the rest of your life watching your friends and family die and eventually just stay in space forever waiting for a death which will never come. Or you die early...
