Sounds like Jack Harkness. And he ends up being almost 5 billion years old. Everyone around him dies. And it doesn't seem like he is enjoying it. .... So I wouldn't press the button.

Nope, you'd lose all goals in life because there is limitless time so all there is left are your loved ones, which will all die in a relatively fast time.. Being alone without any goals in the world forever.. no thanks.

I don't even WANT to be immortal! You grow old and uncomfortable! You have to watch all your friends and family die! Then you"re all alone with nobody and even if you kill yourself, you can't die! So you"re stuck there until the world just... ends.
