Even if you have the internet, note that the moon is about 340.000 km for earth. So at light speed, you'll need 1s to reach the nearest earth server, that means 2s latency (1s up and 1s down). The point is you'll be able to do a lot of things, but forget about online games.

If no friends or family can come then I will just bring a bunch of random people and repopulate that moon base and then Branch out to a planet that has sustainable resources and since I'm able to have a moon base I presume I can do this and then populate that new Earth.
