I will simply travel into the future to learn about their technology, and explain that technology to the people of the present, and do that over and over again until we are so technologically advanced we could either stop the end of the world or escape from it.

You can always warn others and help get those mars colony projects moving faster. It would suck to lose earth but it would suck even more to lose the human race.
