Swimming forwards is swimming the way you are looking. Swimming backwards is swimming the was your feet are. So swimming up and down is either forwards or backwards. So you can't swim.

I pressed the button. Why? Just get a personal propeller. You don't have to swim. Not like I'd want to, anyway. I hate swimming. But this is a useful ability.
