One: You don't have to use it when you don't need it and while you don't use it, there are no downsides. Two: It's an extra ability in your arsenal Three: Traveling takes time already, you can actually save time by using this Ability sometimes And Four: YOU CAN FREAKIN TELEPORT!!!!!

It confuses me that people would say no to this, I mean, you don't HAVE to use it, it could in fact extend your lifetime, by, say, dodging a bullet or moving out of the way of a train

you don't have to use the ability, the downside only applies when using the ability, you don't have to use it, and having the ability just gives you more options, there's no real downside here
