that is if you cant understand before you can learn anything, if you can learn anything and then you cant understand it means you cant understand after the original effect, so it wont work

Just learn the language you wish too, go to where that language is spoken, then when you return you can learn the language of which you originally spoke!

It says “the current language I speak" Not necessarily my native language. I I I I can learn a few words in a language I don't care about and “speak it" so I lose knowledge of that language instead of English.

I've always told people that I'm glad English is my first language, because I'd have fuck-all time trying to learn it as a second language because of how weird it is. Besides, part of the fun of knowing a new language is learning it.
