Guaranteed doesn't mean it will be good. Could enter a whole new dark age, many terrible wars, zombie apocalypse, any apocalypse, etc. As long as humans, food, water, and oxygen are above certain numbers than there is a guaranteed survival.

We all suspect that the human race would survive 10,000 years. And, in the event of an asteroid or something similar, if we have the technology, we could theoretically go to another planet.
