Why do so many people not want this? You could use it to go back and correct tour mistakes, just don't go back too far. If you went back a few hours then everything would be fine

It doesn't seem like you're going back to your old own body, it's your current body going back in time to the previous timeline, or else traveling to 1000AD won't make sense unless you're 1000 years old. So no you don't get to correct your mistakes, there'll just be a 2nd you in the same timeline.

if you can use it whenever you want you don't have to go back that far, you could just use it to fix everday mess ups, or you could just save it for emergencies, you never know when it could come in handy

One: Who cares about the butterfly effect? Yes, small things trigger big changes, but the big changes may be positive. Two: What randomfandoms175 said was just a joke. Three: You don't have to go WAY back in time. You could go back a few hours before, and they won't miss you.
