firstly, 500K is a lot. Secondly, buying is not inclusive of leasing or renting. So you could still lease a massive mansion.

I don't know anything that cost $500,000 that I would ever want to buy. Also If I got 1k per week, it"d be 52k per year, which is 500k in almost 10 years (9 and 212 days). I would never even save that anyway, I would just buy things every week.

That only an approximate $53,000-$55,000 a year, that isn't that much money when you think about. Also then you wouldn't be able to buy a mansion or any car that cost's more then 500K or even dream of getting a chance at owning one.
