What even is the down side to that? It"s like reading the last few chapters of a book first but already knowing the characters and plot. Also it"s the same as rewatching shows and movies.

Scientific studies show people enjoy media more if it is spoiled for them beforehand. Like if there is a plot twist at the end then you go through the movie noticing all the little clues that pointed to that. By the way, Luke dies.

Endings don't really matter as much as the actual experience of watching them. Knowing the end result doesn't invalidate the build up to it.
