People die everyday, be it from an accident, an illness or if they're lucky, from natural causes. I have a chance to save my closest friend so I will take that chance.

This is a hard one, I"d say no because you"d be aware that you were killing 1,000"s for your friend. If I could push this button and then erase my own memory of pushing the button I"d hit it honestly, as like the top comment said, 1,000"s die on a daily basis.
