Well i have never played things like games made by Nintendo so honestly i will not mind it. An improvement for mobile cellphones will make the other phones cheaper because of concurrency so for me its definitely yes;-)

Nintendo would only do that in an absolute last effort to not get bankrupt, which I cannot see happening in the next 20 years or so at least. Their games are too good to stop being made.
