Can I talk to them? What if, which is most likely true anyway, spirits don't exist in are reality. This button would create spirits, would that be a good thing? Someone else to talk to, I suppose, but who says you can even communicate with them.

You learn everything you want from the spirits, even things lost to time, then you use whatever skills you learned to become famous/rich. The spirits need not be mentioned to anyone.
