I've said this a thousand fucking times, on many that says you could become immortal: THERE'S NO UPSIDE. I'd rather die instantly than be immortal. It may sound good. But think about it. It's absolutely terrible.

Both are downsides. The 50% death is an obvious downside but immortality is worse,u have to live for the rest of existance seeing friends and family die and even your children

The thing with immortality is people only look at it with mortal values. Life isn't valuable because of mortality of a person, it"s valuable because of the mortality of the experiences. With that in my mind, I"d love to be immortal.
