The nonexistence of God is irrelevant to the hypothetical concept of becoming godlike. If you became godlike, you'd be the God or at least close to qualifying as one.

Define godlike. Also this isn't a downside. If you press it, you'll have infinite wishes but may or may not loose them one day. If you don't press it, you won't get any wishes. And since some wishes are better than no wishes, pressing the button is the only logical solution...
