Actually they are sampled from real people's voices, and also whoever does the actual programming of the vocaloids would be the one dying so you'd lose out on Vocaloid songs still.

Well my favorite musician (Kirk Cobain) is already dead. Also, I do hate Justin Bieber, but I really see no reason why you would need to kill him. That's a bit extreme.
