The downside neglected to say it had to be your loved one. Also, you can choose to love someone for the sake of being evil I suppose. Either way, by pushing this button you are doing nothing evil until you do the act of 'stealing' life. So you can technically get no effect from this at all.

I can take one year from every person in my immediate family, increasing my life span by about 20 - 30 years. Then I can fake loving Justin Bieber, and other people I absolutely HATE and take much of their lives away from them.
