If I wanted to go back, then all I would have to do is go to the second after I left, as that is technically a "different time period", by a margin of 1 second, but still a different time period then the one I left.

Using the multiverse theory, technically speaking I could jump to a nearly exact replica of my current timeline, as each choice creates a different timeline. The only difference might be whether I ate breakfast that morning or not.
