Without pressing the button, if you gained a spare 50k and were willing to go nude, you would not be able to fly. So it is definitely worth getting, even if I only used it once.

Powers with limitations are not the same thing as downsides. If a power has a cost but is completely optional to use, there is rarely a rational reason to reject it. Pushing the button is the only logical choice here making the dilemma completely pointless.
