The problem for me is only people I would want to do this to live in another country, or I would be to tempted to just straight up injure (possibly kill) them before I got the chance to shrink them. On second thought...this could have been a backup plan if the first thing didn't work...all well

The downside makes it harder to use the ability, but there's no negative side effects. Plus, if you and your friends wanted to shrink to have fun, you could do that if they agreed to it.
