The US dollar is accepted over the counter at a 1:1 value in Canada at nearly all retailers. That and my bank exchanges currency rates for me at no charge.

I think it's saying that any country you are in, the currency isn't in your pocket, no matter how many times you move. But still, you could just order online from another country.

yeah but once you change countries you are therefore in that country, so the currency will change to that of a different country. at least that's how i interpreted it.

Why don't i go to poland, open my wallet, take out all the money, put it in my pocket, and go to the country which money i have from. You don't have to try to understand.
