well it only says you become afraid when you see them. if you hear it you might be scared but you aren't going to brake down. you can use you super hearing to hear the ducks before you see them and then close your eyes and just navigate by sound

That"s a very small price to pay if not any price to pay. After all, what"s the chance of seeing a duck on a day to day basis. Unless you go to the zoo or a lake. Plus people won't even care if you"re afraid of ducks with the OP powers you have.
