Since cancer has the tendency to mutate and survive treatment, and since way more people are hungry/malnourished than have cancer, and since solving the hunger problem will allow people in many areas to pursue other things besides food, it stands to reason...[Show full comment]

Well I mean which kills more cancer or hunger? Cancer sucks, but hunger kills more by far. Seriously I'm going to take a guess and say that the 55% that didn't press the button are privileged white kids that know nothing of struggles like this.

Just choose the one that can technically have both. Don't press the button, and cancer can be cured- and it's still possible that world hunger will be stopped.

I'm part of that 54%, yes. But I've just found out my father's cancer is spreading to his liver. I have some hope of them finding a cure within his remain time span. Not because I'm a "privileged white kid" who knows nothing of "struggles like this".
